Exciting News at Wandong Medical Centre

We’re delighted to welcome Dr Rony Barakat starting Monday the 27th October.

Dr Rony Barakat is an experienced medical practitioner with over 10 years of clinical experience and background in the Australian healthcare system. He is committed to providing high-quality, patient-centred care and building lasting relationships with his patients and their families.

Dr Barakat has a special interest in skin cancer medicine, women’s health, paediatrics, and chronic disease management. He is passionate about preventive medicine and helping patients achieve their best possible health outcomes through a compassionate and holistic approach.

Dr Rony is on pathway to fellowship undertaking FSP under RACGP.

Dr Mahdi

Dr Ahmed Mahdi FRACGP

Dr Mahdi is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners with more than 30 years experience including 10 years experience as a physician in an Emergency Department in Melbourne. He has a special interest in Mental Health, Chronic Disease Management, Gastroenterology, Health Assessments and Chronic Pain Management. Dr Mahdi speaks both English and Arabic.

Dr Heidarian

Dr Alireza Heidarian FRACGP

Dr Alireza Heidarian graduated from Shiraz University, Iran in 2000 as a General Practitioner, and was practicing there for 16 years. He moved to Australia 8 years ago and worked in VIC and WA as a GP. He achieved his Fellowship of Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2019, and has now moved back to Melbourne, where he continues to practice. His areas of interest in general practice include skin disorders and skin cancers, chronic diseases management especially diabetes and cardiovascular diseases and workers compensation. He enjoys climbing and swimming in his free time.
