AI:
Use of AI in Our Practice
Our practice uses secure, Australian-based AI transcription software to assist with documenting consultation notes.
This technology listens during your consultation and helps create a draft clinical note for your GP. Your doctor reviews, edits, and approves all notes — AI does not make clinical decisions or replace your GP’s judgement.
Why We Use AI
We use this technology so your GP can:
Spend more time focused on you, not the computer
Improve accuracy and completeness of medical records
Reduce administrative workload and burnout
Our goal is to enhance the quality of care while keeping your consultation personal, respectful, and patient-centred.
Privacy, Safety, and Governance
Your privacy is very important to us.
The software we use complies with Australian privacy laws and relevant healthcare standards
Consultation data is handled securely and confidentially
AI is used only as a documentation support tool
Your GP remains fully responsible for your medical record and care
We follow professional standards and guidance from the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) regarding the safe and ethical use of digital health and AI technologies.
Your Choice
If you have any questions or concerns about the use of AI during your consultation, or if you prefer not to use it, please let your GP or our reception team know. We are happy to discuss this with you.
